5 simple steps to perfected!

By, Heather Polyi  Owner/Lead Artist  Glam Spot NJ

I have the perfect way to achieve a flawless, everyday natural look in 5 easy steps.
First, everyone needs a little coverage.  (hide redness and discoloration)
Natural skin-toned colors work best to provide dimension and glow to your skin.

I loves SK2's Facial Treatment Cream Foundation.
It covers, treats, and nourishes the skin, while achieving a healthy glow, so natural that ppl will say, "You have the most beautiful skin"
Now that your skintone is even, add a subtle color to your cheeks and lips with Too Faced Full Bloom Lip and Cheek Colors. (A wonderful 2 for 1)
What it is:A blush that delivers sheer pops of color to both cheeks and lips.
What it does:
This creamy, pigment-rich blush blends effortlessly onto cheeks and lips, flushing them with luminous color. It feels lightweight and fresh, melting into skin for the most radiant and natural flush possible.
Extra Awesomeness:
It's hydrating and nourishing and promotes a healthy complexion with a bouquet of ingredients including flower extracts, avocado, and vitamins A thru F.

Crayola Crayons for lips????

By Bridget Hudzik, Beauty Guru

Wait just a tic.
You mean after all these years I can finally eat my crayons?
Okay, not eat, but wear them on my lips?

Lotta Luv's Crayola Crayon Lip Balms look just like an over-sized Crayola crayon But you can't draw with these.
They do however, revive dry, chapped lips with refreshing moisture and a kiss of yummy flavor (like Apple, Watermelon, Cotton Candy, Strawberry, Plum and Orange.)

Not just KID STUFF, they are REALLY HYDRATING!!!!!
Not to mention totally fun to look at everytime you go to use one! LOL

Lotta Luv is the leading manufacturer and marketer of licensed lip products worldwide since 2001 in Manhattan, NY.
They produce over 200 different flavors in lip balms and lip glosses from some of the sweetest brands on the market.

Their products do not contain food and are gluten-free.

BB Cream?????

By Bridget Hudzik, Beauty Guru

What in the heck is BB CREAM?
The "BB" Stands for Blemish Balm, or Blemish Base.
(The Blemish being anything imperfect, not acne as you would think)

They seem to be popping up everywhere!

Even MAC makes a BB Cream!
MAC re-named the first "B" for the US market, its been titled "Beauty Balm".
Focus on the positive, not the negative!

This sector of the beauty world however has a tendency to offer 3 shades, this has been our contention with them...
because one size does not fit all!
Our client base is too diverse to recommend products with limited color selection.

We are loving this new one!!!!!!!!!!

Grace Choi realized the shade issue and created a line offering 10 shades and even two finishes, matte and dewy.

This is the ultimate mineral based hybrid that incorporates a primer, tinted moisturizer, foundation, an oil-free formula, and is anti-aging.
It covers like a foundation, but is as light as air to smoothly apply with just a little dab.
Bonus that she'll send you a sample set you can pick your shade before you commit.
And no worries, the sample set price is deducted from your purchase.

BB creams were originally formulated first in Germany by dermatologists for the scars related to laser skin surgery, and popularized in South Korea.

These are great if you are not a huge fan of the feel of foundation or if you have Hypopigmentation...
The areas of your skin that are lighter then the rest will look natural and blended with BB cream.

How long do you last?

By, Heather Polyi  Owner/Lead Artist  Glam Spot NJ

When you buy an eyeshadow do you wonder?...

How long will you last before you crease??

Usually by lunch...
There's Separation, and don't forget running!!!

Right!????

Lancôme has just changed the game for real!!!
This is gonna be HUGE!

If you haven't peeped these yet, run don't walk to your nearest Lancôme counter!!

It's true, they have invented 24 hour wear eyeshadow!!!

I didn't believe it either!!!

I kid you not @ $24.50 a shadow, this new textured formulation is a creamy, powdery, hybrid and lasts ALL DAY without a crease!!!!!

The shade range is impressive as well!

My only mild dislike, is they "don't play well with others!"

...So to achieve your desired look, it is best achieved when only those shadows are used together.

However with that said... It just means...
I NEED ALL OF THEM!
This is me after my "test",  Shadow still going strong!
On location photo shoots, brides etc...
There isn't a client I have that won't love these!!!

So if your days are as long as mine, you know what to do! ;)

Thank you Lancôme!

The Khardashian Phenomenon

By Heather Polyi  Owner/Lead Artist  Glam Spot NJ

Kim Khardashian seems to always look flawless in every photo!
How?
Is she human???
I have uncovered evidence, she is in fact... HUMAN!
This is Kim, without makeup!
(P.s you are still beautiful Kim)
However like all of us, with makeup, your natural beauty is enhanced!
Do not get confused, a natural look, isn't even close to looking natural, as in... not made up!

This is Kim in mid contour!
She TWEETED These pics herself, and CoCo Perez shared them on the web!
So, What on earth does she use??????
Kim's look at Nascar, by makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic
(He is an amazing makeup artist)
This is from his official blog...
Follow him, he's amazing, and reveals many of his tips tricks and products!!!!!!!!!! :)
Apply Creme de La Mer all over the skin to moisturize.
Concealer: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3 under eyes.
Powder: Shiseido Translucent Loose Powder to set the foundation.
Bronzer: MAC bronzer in Refined Golden around the hairline and hollows of cheeks to add warmth and contour.
Highlighter:  Giella's EYE M GLAM highlighter at giella.com. To get the dewy and radiant glow, apply to brow bone and inner corners of eyes and on the bridge of your nose, across cheek bones, cupids bow and on decolletage.
Blush: Josie Maran Blush in Blossom on apples of cheeks.
Eyeshadows: Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Blaze on the eyelid
MAC Eyeshadow in Malt in the crease
EYE M GLAM highlighter on the brow bones.
Eyeliners: Dior liquid style liner in Noir Black on the upper lash line
Max Factor MAX eye liner in Night Club along the inner lash line
Mascara: Lancome Definicils High Definition Mascara in Deep Black
Eyebrows: Benefit Instant Brow Pencil in Medium to Dark
Lipliner: Stila Lip Pencil in Contour 1
Lipstick: Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick in Golden Apricot
Lipgloss: Guerlain Terracotta Gloss and Shine in Beige Sun
Other options... NARS sheer glow foundation in Barcelona applied with a sponge.
Under eyes, use Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer in Medium Vanilla.
Set the face with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder in #2 using very little.
Brows are filled in with Brow Sculpting Pencil by Sephora, in Medium. Brush them through with the opposite end of the pencil once filled in.
Eyes – Sweep Josie Maran Eyeshadow in Vintage all over the lid. On the crease and also smoked along the lower lashline, use Cacao Eyeshadow, also by Josie Maran. Line the upper lash line with Sephora's Doe Eyed Felt eyeliner in Black. L’oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on top and bottom lashes. For some added drama, use the long individual false lashes by Ardell on the outer upper corners.
Warm up and frame the face with Smashbox bronzer in Suntan Matte.
Also brush some on the hollows of the cheeks.
Sweep NYC New York Color Color Wheel in Peach Glow on the apples of the cheeks and a bit across the forehead and chin.
To get that gorgeous, glowing skin, use Giella's EYE M GLAM highlighter.
Brush it on your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and right on the cupids bow of upper lip. I also used it on her brow bones and inner corner of her eyes.
Line lips with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil in Heavy (shimmery nude shade). Use Captivating Coral lipstick by Motives and follow with Covergirl Wetslicks gloss in Fig.
Kim has been seen wearing looks by Scott Barnes and many other sought after Make up artists.
Let me just say that this is not a fail safe list...  your color selections require them to match YOUR skin....
And P.S they don't always look AMAZING even on Kim!

She is often over contoured!!!!!!!!!!!!
OFTEN!

It should come with a warning label...  Do Not Try This At Home!

But, if you dare....
